I am Thabiso Tshowa, a people and themed photographer.

I photograph everyday life and everyday people, especially those who reflect kasi life. I respect my sitters, and I prefer portrait images and close-ups because I seem to have a knack for that.

My work explores everyday moments — except when I have a particular point I want to make, then I reach into history and recreate that moment with a hint of the new world.

I photograph to preserve kasi culture. Long live kasi life. Black lives matter.
